Olympic gold medal winner at sport lunch

Olympic gold medallist Zac Purchase MBE is to speak at a charity lunch in Bury St Edmunds next month.

The rower – who also took silver at London 2012, but famously looked distraught when interviewed by the BBC’s John Inverdale – also won three world titles during his nine-year career with Team GB.

He will be the star attraction at the lunch in aid of Suffolk SportsAid, a charity that has supported athletes such as London 2012 medallists Anthony Ogogo and Zoe Newson.

The event takes place at Suffolk Golf and Spa Hotel in Forham St Genevieve, on Friday, April 26 (12pm) at a cost of £25 per person.
